We are looking for a Senior QA Manual Tester who brings not just deep experience in testing but also leadership capabilities to guide a growing QA team. The ideal candidate will have 4\u20136 years of experience, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to drive quality across complex backend systems, web platforms, and mobile applications.
Requirements-
Bachelor`s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
3 to 6 years of manual testing experience , with at least 1 year in a QA lead or senior role .
Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and test methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
Experience with web, mobile, and API testing, with a deep understanding of platform ecosystems.
Proficiency in using bug tracking and documentation tools such as Jira , Confluence , etc.
Familiarity with tools like Postman, Swagger or Charles Proxy for API and network-level testing.
Experience with platform-level testing performance, reliability, fault tolerance.
Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-team collaboration skills.
Ability to think from a customer`s point of view and drive intuitive, usable designs .
Demonstrated ability to lead by example, take initiative, and influence quality practices in the team.
Ability to plan and execute production-readiness testing and communicate risks effectively.
Nice to Have-
Experience in retail, payments, POS, or e-commerce domains .
Basic understanding of automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JMeter).
Exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
Familiarity with testing microservices and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
Responsibilities-
Lead the QA efforts across headless commerce platform services \u2013 including web, mobile, and backend systems (APIs, WebApps, data pipelines).
Review and analyze requirements, specifications, and technical documents for completeness and clarity.
Design, develop, and execute end-to-end test plans, manual test cases, and platform-level test strategies.
Manage functional, regression, integration, performance, and UI testing across systems.
Lead bug triage sessions and ensure clear, timely communication of issues to developers.
Track and manage bugs using Jira or similar tracking tools.
Mentor and guide junior QA team members; perform peer reviews of test cases and strategies.
Coordinate closely with developers, product managers, support, and release teams to ensure smooth releases.
Define and maintain quality benchmarks, coverage goals, and ensure alignment with SDLC standards.
Advocate for the customer: suggest usability improvements and flag any customer-facing inconsistencies.
Plan and simulate real-world usage, load, and stress testing, especially for production-critical systems.
Help define automation strategy; collaborate with automation engineers to build future-ready QA processes.
