What You`ll Need
Bachelor s or Master s in Computer Science, IT, or related field (Mandatory)
ISTQB Foundation Level Certification (Preferred).
4 7 years of hands-on experience in manual testing for web, mobile, and backend services.
Strong knowledge of STLC, SDLC, Agile/ Scrum methodologies.
Experience in functional, regression, system, integration, usability, and UAT testing.
Basic knowledge of API testing using Postman or similar tools.
Exposure to SQL for basic database validation.
Familiarity with defect management tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, HP ALM
What You ll Do
Understand business requirements and create detailed test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria.
Define scope and objectives for functional, regression, exploratory, and UAT testing.
Ensure comprehensive test coverage and maintain traceability matrices.
Execute manual tests for functional, integration, regression, and usability scenarios.
Validate APIs using tools like Postman (basic request/response validation).
Perform cross-browser and cross-device compatibility testing.
Verify bug fixes and perform retesting to ensure closure.
Log, track, and manage defects using JIRA or similar tools.
Work closely with developers to reproduce, isolate, and resolve issues.
Provide daily/ weekly testing status reports and highlight risks.
Test Management & Collaboration Tools: JIRA, Azure DevOps, TestRail, Confluence.
Defect Tracking & Reporting: JIRA, Azure DevOps Boards
API Testing Tools (Basic to Intermediate): Postman, Swagger
Database Validation: MySQL, SQL Server
Performance Testing Awareness: JMeter (understanding and Test script creation)
Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups.
Collaborate with Product Owners to refine acceptance criteria.
Suggest process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency.
