We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Manual Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. The primary responsibility of this role is to test Internet Banking and Mobile Banking applications to ensure they are free from defects, meet functional requirements, and provide a seamless experience to the end-users.
Required Skills & Qualifications-
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience as a Manual Tester, with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in testing Internet Banking and/or Mobile Banking applications.
Strong knowledge of banking domain processes (payments, transfers, balance checks, loan services, etc.) is highly desirable
Experience with testing of banking applications (including online and mobile platforms).
Familiarity with mobile testing frameworks and tools for iOS and Android.
Proficient in writing test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
Knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle).
Understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/ Kanban).
Strong knowledge of defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
Desirable Skills-
Experience with automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium) is a plus.
Knowledge of database testing (SQL) and API testing (Postman, SOAP UI, etc.)
Understanding of security testing concepts, such as OWASP security testing practices
Exposure to banking industry compliance and regulations (PCI DSS, GDPR, etc.)
Knowledge of performance testing concepts.
Key Responsibilities-
Perform manual functional, regression, integration, and system testing of Internet Banking and Mobile Banking applications.
Develop and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts based on functional and technical requirements.
Execute exploratory testing to uncover critical issues not covered by standard test cases.
Test applications on multiple browsers and mobile devices (iOS/ Android) to ensure compatibility and responsiveness.
Review business requirements, technical specifications, and user stories to ensure thorough understanding of the project.
Participate in requirement review meetings and provide input on test ability and test cases.
Log detailed defects with clear reproduction steps in the defect management system.
Work with developers to ensure the root cause of defects is identified and provide timely feedback to ensure efficient resolution.
Track defects through to resolution and perform verification testing once the defects are fixed.
