Iris Software is looking for Senior QA Engineer – Manual

Candidate should have a Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Computer Science/ IT/ Engineering or Equivalent with 3+ years of hands-on experience in Manual Testing or Quality Assurance. Hands-on experience in Web Testing, API Testing, Test cases, SQL, STLC, Jira. Must have excellent communication skills.

Job Responsibilities
  • Analyze user stories, product requirements, and acceptance criteria to design and develop comprehensive test cases.
  • Capable to write medium complexities SQL queries for Data validation
  • Conduct manual testing of web application features across various functionalities and user flows.
  • Identify, reproduce, document, and report software defects using a bug tracking tool like Jira.
  • Participate in daily stand-up meetings and sprint planning sessions to provide testing insights and feedback.
  • Collaborate with developers to understand code changes and ensure proper regression testing.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest manual testing methodologies and best practices.
  • Contribute to a culture of quality by advocating for testing throughout the development process.
Required Skills
  • Experience in Web application testing.
  • API testing experience
  • Knowledge of Gherkin format of test cases creation
  • Agile methodology – process and ceremonies.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Exposure to Zyphyr test management tool
  • Extensive Experience with JIRA
  • Extensive experience in test case, scenario & test plan creation

QA/QE – QA Manual – Test Case Creation, Execution, Planning, Reporting with risks/ dependencies
QA/QE – QA Automation – DB Testing (SQL/ Oracle)
QA/QE – QA Manual – API Testing
QA – Agile Methodology
QA/QE – QA Manual – Qtest, QC, JIRA and other Tools
QA/QE – BDD/ Specification by Example – Gherkin
