MasterCard Inc is looking for Software Engineer II (Quality Assurance)

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer II (Quality) with 3-5 years of experience in both manual and automated testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Java or Python, Selenium, Cucumber, REST API testing, AI and cloud-based application testing, along with a solid understanding of Agile methodologies and CI/ CD pipelines.

Required Skills

Bachelors/ Masters degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
ISTQB certified 3 to 5 years of experience in software testing (manual and automation)
Proficiency in Java or Python, Selenium, Cucumber, and REST API testing
Strong SQL skills with the ability to write and debug complex queries
Experience with performance testing tools and cloud-based application testing
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, and Maven
Hands-on experience in Agile/SAFe environments
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently under pressure.

Preferred Skills

Exposure to AI/ ML-based application testing
Experience with test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or similar
Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes

Job Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for web applications, APIs (REST/SOAP), and databases
Validate application codebases for new features and regression testing using automation frameworks
Perform performance testing and ensure scalability and reliability of cloud-based applications
Write and optimize complex SQL queries to validate large and complex datasets
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Git/ Bitbucket, Jenkins, and Maven
Participate in Agile/ SAFe ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
Communicate effectively with technical teams and stakeholders to report bugs, suggest improvements, and ensure alignment on quality goals.
