Slovakia’s gas importing company has announced that Gazprom has ceased gas deliveries, but it has alternative sources available.
SPP announced in a statement that it had made preparations for this scenario and would continue to provide all its customers through alternative routes, primarily utilizing pipelines from Germany and Hungary. However, it noted that this would result in increased transit fees.
On Wednesday, SPP, the leading gas importer in Slovakia, reported that Gazprom Export of Russia had halted gas supplies to Slovakia after the conclusion of a transit agreement for transporting gas through Ukraine.
