We are seeking an experienced Manual Tester with 3 to 5 years of software testing experience, preferably in the Capital Markets, Trading, Exchange, or FinTech domain. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of Spot, Futures & Options (F&O) trading and margining concepts and be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of trading applications through comprehensive manual testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories to create detailed test scenarios and test cases.
- Perform manual testing of trading, risk management, and exchange applications.
- Validate end-to-end trading workflows across Spot, Futures, and Options segments.
- Verify margin calculations, position management, order management, settlements, and risk controls.
- Conduct functional, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using defect management tools.
- Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Managers, and Operations teams to resolve issues.
- Prepare test reports, defect summaries, and quality metrics for stakeholders.
- Participate in release validation, production deployments, and post-release testing activities.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and testing best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Manual Testing.
- Strong understanding of:
- Spot Trading
- Futures & Options Trading
- Margining Concepts
- Trade Lifecycle Management
- Order and Risk Management Systems
- Experience in test case preparation, execution, defect tracking, and reporting.
- Working knowledge of SQL for database validation and data verification.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Capital Markets, Stock Exchange, Brokerage, or FinTech applications.
- Knowledge of Crypto Exchange platforms, digital assets, and market operations.
- Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or equivalent.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Basic understanding of automation testing concepts will be an added advantage.
