We are looking for a detail-oriented Software Tester with 2 to 3 years of experience in testing web-based applications. The ideal candidate should possess strong manual testing expertise, functional testing knowledge, API testing fundamentals, and the ability to identify application issues using browser developer tools.
Key Responsibilities–
- Perform functional testing of web-based applications covering positive, negative, regression, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing.
- Understand business requirements and prepare comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
- Execute test cases and report defects with clear reproduction steps, screenshots, logs, and supporting evidence.
- Perform basic API testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Analyze browser Console and Network logs to identify frontend and backend issues.
- Validate end-to-end workflows, UI behavior, business validations, data flow, and API responses.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to verify fixes and ensure quality delivery.
- Track defects using Jira, Azure DevOps, QC, or similar tools.
- Continuously improve test coverage and contribute to product quality.
Required Skills–
- 2 to 3 years of experience in Manual Testing of web applications.
- Strong understanding of Functional Testing methodologies.
- Experience creating test scenarios, test cases, and defect reports.
- Knowledge of API Testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Good understanding of HTTP methods, status codes, request/response payloads, and headers.
- Ability to analyze browser Developer Tools (Console & Network).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Experience with defect tracking tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, or QC.
Good to Have–
- Basic SQL knowledge.
- Experience testing enterprise or SaaS applications.
- Exposure to performance, security, or accessibility testing.
