We are seeking a detail-oriented Manual Test Engineer with 2 to 3 years of experience in Core Banking applications (Finacle) . The role involves designing, executing, and managing test cases to ensure the stability, accuracy, and compliance of banking systems. The candidate will collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to validate functional and non-functional requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business and functional requirements for Finacle Core Banking modules (Accounts, Loans, Deposits, Payments, etc.).
- Design, prepare, and execute manual test cases based on functional specifications.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing for Finacle applications.
- Validate interfaces, reports, and customizations within the Finacle ecosystem.
- Document defects, track issues, and work closely with development teams for resolution.
- Ensure compliance with banking standards, audit requirements, and regulatory guidelines .
- Participate in UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and support business teams during rollout.
- Maintain test documentation, including test plans, test scripts, and defect logs .
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality delivery within timelines .
Required Skills & Experience
- 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in manual testing of Core Banking applications, preferably Finacle .
- Strong understanding of banking processes (customer onboarding, transactions, loans, deposits, payments).
- Experience in test case design, execution, and defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, Quality Center, ALM).
- Knowledge of SQL queries for data validation and backend testing.
- Familiarity with integration testing involving third-party banking applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to Finacle customization and parameterization
- Understanding of regulatory compliance (KYC, AML, GDPR)
- Experience in UAT coordination with business stakeholders
- ISTQB or equivalent testing certification.
