We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-on Test Automation Engineer with 7+ years of experience in building, maintaining, and scaling test automation frameworks. You should have strong proficiency in Java, JavaScript, Selenium, and modern UI/ API testing tools such as Playwright, Cypress, and Postman. A deep understanding of testing frameworks, CI/CD integration, and cloud-based execution is essential.
Job Responsibility
– Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Java, JavaScript, and open-source tools like Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
– Develop and execute API automation using tools like Postman or REST-assured.
– Design locator strategies and write robust XPath/ CSS selectors (including Angular-specific locators).
– Work on framework implementation using appropriate design patterns (e.g., Page Object Model, Factory, Strategy, etc.).
– Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or equivalent tools.
– Execute test suites in parallel across multiple environments such as local, Docker, cloud (AWS/ Azure), and container-based systems.
– Implement reporting and alerting for automation results (e.g., using Extent Reports, Allure, etc.).
– Use and configure build tools like Maven, Gradle; manage test execution with TestNG, JUnit.
– Actively participate in framework discussions and development decisions, not just execution.
– Handle teardown, cleanup, and recovery mechanisms in test cases to ensure reliability.
Qualification & Experience
– 7+ years of test automation experience in Java, JavaScript.
– Strong experience with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright.
– Proficient in API testing and tools like Postman, REST-assured.
– Solid understanding of test automation design patterns; ability to discuss and implement appropriate architecture.
– Hands-on experience in building frameworks (not just using in-house frameworks).
– Expert in writing efficient and reliable locators/XPaths, especially for complex or Angular-based UIs.
– Experience with BDD/TDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, Mocha, Jest) and related reporting tools.
– CI/CD integration experience; test execution on Docker, cloud VMs, or agent machines.
– Familiarity with build tools (Maven, Gradle), and test frameworks (TestNG, JUnit).
– Exposure to cloud-based testing, cross-browser, and parallel execution.
