Candidate must have a University Graduate degree in Computer Science or a related discipline with at least 8 years of technical experience in system deployment. Good track record with the entire Software Development Life Cycle process. Solid skill set and development experience in Java, Unix/ Linux, Git and Maven/ Gradle is essential.
Solid knowledge of Core Java, Multithreading, Collections, and Restful API development.
Exposure to reactive and asynchronous programming and libraries like Vert.x.
Solid skill set and development experience with one of relational database product like PostgreSQL.
Experience of NoSQL DB is a plus.
Familiarity with DevOps toolsets Git, Jenkins, Nexus, Gradle etc.
Strong understanding of DevOps/ Agile way of working.
Good presentation and communication skills with fluent English speaking and writing skills.
Technical experience in system architecture design will be strong advantage.
Enthusiastic and self-motivated with excellent time management skills and strong initiative.
Able to work independently and effectively under pressure.
Able to adapt in global team culture and communicate with teammate in different locations.
Previous experience with Traded Risk platforms and Business domain knowledge in Risk is a big plus.
Knowledge in Cloud or Containerization Technology will be an advantage.
Job Responsibilities-
Develop and implement IT solutions to meet business users requirements.
Conduct system tests, user acceptance tests and provide support on system implementation.
Ensure high-quality standard of deliverables according to HSBC standards and best practices.
Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance to other team members.
Stay up to date with the latest advancements and technologies in JAVA development.
Work closely with project global stake holders to progress projects including Risk Transformation, Risk Manager etc.
Design and build solutions by increasing customer satisfaction and align solutions to our business and IT Strategy.
Build solutions with an engineering mindset that not just achieve functional objectives but also cater to non-functional requirements with consistent performance.
Interact with local and global business analysts, project managers, technical architects and developers, detailing the design and driving quality end-to-end solutions.
Collaborate closely with global technology teams and support functions, with regards to strategy, operating model, implementation, production support transition and project lifecycle governance.
