Synechron is seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer to design, develop, and implement automation frameworks and scripts to ensure the delivery of high-quality software. This role involves working closely with development and QA teams to perform automation testing, validate functionalities, and identify bottlenecks. Your expertise will contribute to the organization’s commitment to delivering reliable, efficient, and scalable applications, supporting our strategic focus on agility, quality, and continuous improvement.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Selenium, TestNG, Maven, and Jenkins for automation testing and continuous integration
- Experience with JIRA or similar test management tools
- Knowledge of API testing and database testing techniques
- Hands-on experience developing automation scripts in Java
- Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with other automation tools such as UFT or Postman
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows
- Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter)
- Exposure to cloud testing environments and tools
Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test scripts for functional, regression, and system testing
- Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify issues and ensure quality standards
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to review requirements and refine testing strategies
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve automation scripts and testing environment issues
- Create comprehensive test documentation, including test cases, plans, and defect reports
- Participate in Agile sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Support continuous integration and seamless deployment processes by integrating automation into pipelines
- Monitor test execution and generate detailed reports on testing outcomes and quality metrics
- Promote best practices in automation, testing, and quality assurance across projects
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging tools, and best practices in automation testing
