Candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field with 2 to 4 years of proven experience in Manual testing of web applications, including Functional, System, Integration, and User Acceptance testing.
Strong understanding of software testing life cycle (STLC), software development life cycle (SDLC), and bug life cycle.
Ability to design effective and comprehensive test cases based on requirements.
Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, ZenDesk)
Ability to write basic SQL queries for data validation if required for the application
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively report issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, analyze, and troubleshoot software defects.
Meticulous attention to detail to ensure thorough testing and accurate defect reporting
Experience working in an Agile/ Scrum environment is often preferred.
Shift IST Night shift (US PST Day Time)
Key Responsibilities-
Review and analyze web application requirements, specifications, and user stories to create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios. Execute manual test cases across various functionalities, user flows, and browser/device combinations to identify defects, inconsistencies, and usability issues.
Identify, document, and report software defects with clear steps to reproduce, relevant information, and expected/actual results using bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira). Perform thorough regression testing to ensure that new features, bug fixes, or changes do not introduce new defects or negatively impact existing functionalities.
Work closely with developers, product managers, business analysts, and other QA team members to understand project requirements, provide feedback, and ensure timely resolution of issues.
